  • Abandoned Cart - It's a marketing message sent to people who added items to their Shopify shopping cart but did not complete the purchase. This email aims to remind and encourage customers to come back to your website and complete the purchase.

  • Affiliate Program - A program that allows pre-approved partners to earn a commission when their contacts become a paid tinyEmail client.

  • Audience - The target of your email campaigns and automations. Understanding your audience is a big part of the "science" of email marketing. That knowledge helps you create email content and strategies that connect with your audience.

  • Automation - Broadly, it's the use of technology and software to automate routine processes. In email marketing, it is a cool piece of software based on triggers and actions. When a website visitor does a specific action, like filling in a form and opting into your list (the trigger), tinyEmail automatically sends a Welcome message (the action).

  • Bounced - The percentage of messages that were sent but could not be delivered now and likely won't be successful in future campaigns.

  • Campaign - A tinyEmail campaign is a series of scheduled messages that create touch points (in sales speak) and promote your business or organization in some way. Usually, the aim is to sell a product or service, but there could be other aims, like encouraging folks to watch a video or download a free ebook.

  • Clone campaign - A time saving tool that help users quickly create a new campaign by copying an older campaign (including settings and content). Cloned campaigns are ways to customize.

  • Conversion - A measurable activity that takes place on a store site, such as a sales or clicked link.

  • Dashboard - It's the tinyEmail main page that summarizes all your important performance data, scheduled messages, number of signups, and more.

  • Delivered - Total number of emails that were successfully delivered.

  • DKIM - It's a really important part of email marketing, and if you don't know what it is, you should learn. DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is a security feature used to authenticate the source of an email and verify that it has not been tampered with during transit. Without a DKIM, messages sent from your organization or domain will likely be marked as spam.

  • DMARC - Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC) is another email authentication protocol commonly used in conjunction with DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) and SPF (Sender Policy Framework) to enhance email security and protect against phishing and email spoofing. DMARC helps email senders specify how their emails should be authenticated, what action to take if authentication fails, and provides reporting on email authentication results. Applying this policy means emails from @gmail.com, @aol.com, and @yahoo.com can be sent using only their original servers.

  • DNS Record - In basic terms, Domain Name System (DNS) is like a phone book for the internet. This naming system allows users to access websites with easy-to-remember domain names instead of numerical IP addresses.

  • Email Service Providers - A web app or desktop program that displays your emails. Gmail, Apple Mail, and Outlook are a few examples of popular email service providers (ESPs).

  • Export - Use this tinyEmail feature to export your reports with all their data in a .xlsx or PDF format.

  • Forms - A valuable tool for lead generation. tinyEmail forms play a big role in online marketing, customer service, and data collection.

  • Information - It is a place where you can learn about the functions and features of a tool or element, like an automation.
