Can I change the email address associated with my tinyEmail account?

I see that question in the tinyEmail support chat from time to time. Here's my answer:

  1. Please don't.

  2. If you really, really, really need to change it, contact the support team.

About the account email

When you created your tinyEmail account, you entered an email address. That email gets baked into our back-end server. It spiders across all corners of the platform and connects everything from billing to your email KPIs. It's also part of your account login.

That's why the email address is greyed out on the My Account page. It shouldn't be changed.

Changing the account address

Yes, it's possible to change your account email address, but it's not like resetting a password. You need direct assistance from the tinyEmail customer support team.

1 Contact customer support

Reach out to tinyEmail's customer support team. You can contact us via email or chat (click the icon in the bottom right corner of this page).

2 Verify your email

The support team will ask you for the new account email address. Then, they'll send a verification code to that address within 24 hours.

3 Share verification code

When you receive the verification code, share it with the tinyEmail support rep assigned to your request. This step is vital. It validates your ownership of the new email address.

4 Processing the email change

Once you complete the verification process and it's confirmed by the support team, the tech team will change the email address associated with your account. This change can take up to 72 hours to fully propagate. You might experience some login challenges during that time. tinyEmail issues a final confirmation once your account email address has been updated.

That's it.

Now you know how to change your account email address.
